Eater loves us!

The team over at Eater dropped by while it was still hot to give our ramen a try. Did they enjoy Filipino-Japanese cuisine? Spoiler alert: Of course they did. Jonathan Nunn from the Eater team says that our dishes are among “the most interesting London ramen right now”. We put a lot a love into designing our bowls of ramen, bringing fabulous Filipino flavours to a staple dish, and it sounds like it shows in the taste. It’s “the clearest articulation of Shah’s Filipino roots with traditional dishes filtered through a Japanese lens and reimagined as bowls of noodle broths”.

Speaking of our owner, we now know that on Kentish Town Road, “Omar Shah reigns supreme. No stretch of London road is so defined by one restauranteur”. With four restaurants on Kentish Town Road (Bintang, Guanabana, Mamasons and yours truly), you’d be hard pressed to find a challenger for that honour. You can find the full write-up here or below, but to save you the trouble, it’s all thumbs up.

Big thanks to Jonathan Nunn and the Eater crew for coming down!
